Okay, seems like it was clearly a matter of the distortion that I used. The ProCo-Rat does it for me. Can't use the TSE B.O.D.-plugin unfortunately (Mac-User). And I tried programming bass ... it went horrible :D

Yeah ... I should have said, that the "new-price" I was/am referring to is the market-price in Germany (Thomann) for the limited HCF-version. In the UK, this bad-boy goes for 1.377€ (1.142 GBP). But like I said - I'm open to offers ;)

Well, E2 is the "normal" E on a guitar. Downtuned it's D#2, D2, ..., B1, A#1, A1 and so on. Thanks for the other calculator-link.

Okay guys ... I found a tension-calculator that works beyond .56's. http://hikkyz.net/misc/stringassembler/ Edit: I'm such an idiot - I can't even use the calculator :D For (mainly) Drop-A I could use a .70 - and I think it's okay to tune it up to B, too.
