Keep in mind that the J50-BC will probably not fit into the guitars pickup route as the J50-BC has a larger outside dimension because of the pickup cover on it than an EMG81. I pulled the P/U out of my RR24M to try and put a J-50BC in and it won't fit. Not unless I route the pickup route larger...

I have bought 2 from this guy and they are great! No issues at all. Keep in mind he does use mini pots for the volume, but will also add a tone pot or boost switch, like the MM-04, if you want one. Have had no issues with mine. Pulled out my EMG ABQ and use this instead now...

Weird....I just looked on the EMG site and they are all just listed as H2 or H4, no HZ in front of them. EMG calls it a H2, but if you change the cover color to Black, it shows EMG HZ on the logo, so assuming they are the same. E-mail EMG and ask, they have always responded pretty quick to me...

These are the only pictures I have on my PC. They are from a few years ago, but it still looks the same now. Hardest gold parts to find were the 6 screws that go into the pick up. The stock ones were black, but I had to have gold.

Mine is black. I have swapped all the hardware to gold except the tremolo, that is next on my list, then that guitar is complete.

I love the way my guitar sounds with the ALX, but I also have a big brass block installed on the tremolo, and that does have an effect on the tone as well. Is it worth getting? That's really up to your ears. I figured if I didn't like it I could always sell it and recoup most of what I paid...
