Fabfilter Saturn - anyone try it out yet?

Saturn was released a couple days ago. Some of the amp models sound like they can be usable for DI guitars, but no ability to use IRs as far as I could tell. Regardless of how it will work for guitars I can see a lot of potential usefulness from this plug. http://youtu.be/dbMa8g_jV2I

Please list some cabs that come stock w/ v30's.

I have a friend looking for a 4x12 cab to match w/ his Mesa Dual Recifier. We know we want v30's, and we don't want to buy something just to take the speakers out to put in some Vintage 30's. Currently, he's running a 4x12 straight Behringer cab, we want to get away from the heavy / not-so...

Do you guys prefer the sound of overlapping kicks (like a true double bass), or when the hits cut each other (like a double kick pedal sound)? Another way of looking at it is polyphony = 1, vs. polyphony = 2. I find that with fast double bass parts with them overlapping it can make it sound a...

    Fredman + Quad tracking?

Anybody do this? I just finished tracking this way. I am starting the mixing stage and am wondering if it might be "too much" of a good thing. And just stick to the center SM57's. Or maybe it's a tried and true method?
