I was just listening to the song and I noticed something I hadn't before, oddly. It sounds like there is a bass interplaying with the electric piano or whatever the keyboard instrument it is that plays that weird funk-jazz solo. Am I wrong??

The only thing that annoys me about Opeth's music is the repetitions. The number of times a certain melody is repeated can sometimes be almost unbearable, like in the intro to To Bid You Farewell or Moonlapse Vertigo or The Moor. Even Porcelain Heart could use some shortening in the intro. I...

Sometimes I feel that Opeth's music is too sad. It definitely has a sad vibe, if you look at their opus altogether. But the question is, does it make YOU sad? I can't say it makes me sad, but it certainly doesnt make me happy either,lol.
