As an aside, that's the second reference so far to "Mother Time" as opposed to Father Time and Mother Nature. Wonder if that's intentional or just Anders mixing it up.

To just chime in - I think the difference here is what different people consider the defining features of "Old In Flames". To me it had nothing to do with heaviness, and so the new songs being heavier doesn't therefore make them sound anything like the early albums. To me, the defining features...

Some further thoughts.. chorus has the same guitar melody as pt1 but it takes a few spins to notice as it's almost completely drowned out by the vocals, and something about the main "heavier" guitar riff makes me think it sounds like it could have come from SOAPF. I'm really bouncing off this...

Yeah this is a weird one. Intro could be cool but is cut off way too short. Seems like they've been saving up the entire auto-tune budget from the previous three singles for this one, and yet the chorus doesn't even rhyme which is a real pet peeve of mine. Having said all that, it's infinitely...

It's guitar driven sure, but I was referring to guitar melodies/leads specifically. CC doesn't really have many. ASOP has little lead guitar melodies spread throughout every song.

CC is probably my least favourite of the modern IF albums. Just feels really generic to me and not like IF. ASOP on the other hand has crappy guitar production and Anders is at his whiniest but the actual composition is very IF - it is the most guitar melody driven album since Clayman.
