Totally agree! It's useless if you have insanely good guitars and kick+snare when bass sucks and sound like a piece of cardboard with used towing lines (If you're into "modern" metal sound). Good wood, good electronics and FRESH STRINGS :)

Had same "problem". I find this plugin perfect for klang mids but its just useless if you want some sick OD/DIST. Try TS-999 into SHB-1 (both from Ignite Masters!) and eventually into TPA-1. This is my instant win setup.

Of course its ALWAYS better to record real drummer behind real drums but sometimes you just need to save the situation using MIDIs ;). If you have no clue how to start with himanization I'd suggest looking on how some MIDI libraries were recorded e.g. grooves library from Metal Machine EZX...
