Any updates? Things went dark again after the last one.

    Cynthesis upcoming release news

I've actually asked the label and the band about the release and I've mostly given up. This was like 1-2 years ago. The label seemed a bit pissy to field the question and whomever from the band answered said they were waiting to track drums and gave something of a feeling that it was legit...

    Fuck my life...

Things must be very bad if you decided to post that on this forum, which is, sadly, dead. I don't come here often and because of that, I see the radical differences between the visits. Anyhow, for the OP, get help. Talk to anyone, even if it's an unconventional person (ie: religious person)...

Pics and video from a recent show

Next time they're in Munich, come down south and we'll make a party day out of it.

Pics and video from a recent show

Nay nay, New Yorker in Deutschland.

    Bands similar to Threshold

IMO, Vanden Plas doesn't even come close. They are more into the theatrics and in the vein of the DT/SX type bands. I just saw them live in Munich a few days after I saw Threshold and the divide couldn't be larger than those two, in particular. I recently wrote a short accompanyment to some...

    Album of the Year, 2014

1349- Massive Cauldron of Chaos Threshold- For The Journey; Not to belittle the last two, which were superb, but this one has just that little extra oomph and darkness that makes it so satisfying Kuolemanlaakso- Tulijoutsen; Finnish doom metal. So satisfying and so much ambience and bar none...

    Threshold Live

Yeah, I wrote about it from my own point of view as being from the US that it's nearly a "travesty" that NA audiences don't get much beyond one-off, infrequent performances from Threshold. However, I moved to Germany some years ago, though I was in the wrong part for nearly five years, then...

    Threshold Live in Munich

After years of being a fan, I finally got to see Threshold live after moving to Germany some years ago. I even missed them twice last year when they performed in two venues that were equidistant from me in northern Germany. I frequent Black Metal concerts, Death, Thrash, and everything in...

    M.O.D. in Prague

I was hoping to catch MOD myself, but unfortunately, a lot of bands seem to be skipping Munich and the surrounding areas.

The new Vanden Plas rips guys !!

Did they learn how to speak, read, and write in english yet? That's the one thing that they suffer from in a massive way. Love the band otherwise, but it's difficult to see how bad their english is much of the time.

    Are Zero Hour still together?

Man, that's sad and I hope he pulls through. Would you be able to speak on the outlook?

    RIP Andrew Mc Dermott

    Very sad.

I'm sorry but this madness has to stop!!

Well, this is a sign of the Europisation of the United States. Very sad. We're even borrowing confusion from the model of modern Germany.

Cynthesis - DeEvolution is now in stock at Laser's Edge

Edit that: I'm getting jerked around with this order by an amazon retailer claiming they have it in stock. One would think that during an era where buying music is largely optional, sellers and distributors would make sure to get things to the last remaining people who buy.

Clip from DeEvolution - Incision (edit version)

Man, Erik is brilliant in delivery, as well as lyrically. His structuring is innovative, unique, and brilliant. It was way too long of a gap between Towers and Cynthesis, but I'm glad he committed. Huge WIN for prog fans.

Cynthesis - DeEvolution is now in stock at Laser's Edge

For those out in Europe, in stock (supposedly) at several retailers through Amazon. I have mine on the way to Germany from someone on Amazon.de.

Off-topic debate: "Monotheist" vs "Eparistera Daimones"

Fucking amazing, both of them, and like all Celtic Frost before it, they can be good for different reasons and stand side by side. If I had to pick, it would be ED. There's new life there, and the drumming, bass, and new effects and rhythm is amazing.
