Zero Hour "The Towers of Avarice" on vinyl

Great album. Saw Zero Hour at ProgPower in Atlanta in early 2000's.

HELLOWEEN Announce 2023 North American Tour With HAMMERFALL

I mean, I do on occasion listen to some Hank, but mostly Metal is my driving force. I guess if I were rich I could be a promoter and get better metal shows in the south. Not in the summer when it an ungodly heat index of 100+, but maybe the middle part of spring or early fall. Some outside...

    METAL CHURCH: Congregation Of Annihilation

Missing David Wayne, too, but that is a different story. Both those vocalists had great contributions. I still get chills hearing "Watch the Children Pray".

HELLOWEEN Announce 2023 North American Tour With HAMMERFALL

None anywhere close enough. Metal usually skips the Southeast, except maybe Atlanta, but I don't know why. There are metal heads all over the South

METAL CHURCH: Damned If You Do

This new one seems a little more melodic in the realm of prog/pop metal and less thrash/headbanging. I think it sounds pretty decent overall. But when albums sound pretty decent overall, I can't listen to the whole thing all the way through. I have to put the best songs on a mix cd with other...

    Ultimate Metal is dying

I honestly have not posted in years. I have so many other things going on, I forgot about this forum. I still love my metal, but life goes on!

Please make comments on our songs.

Thanks AllanD. I agree with what you are saying. It is our guitar player doing the recording. Overall, for only the second and third effort total, I think he has done well. However, I think the songs could be opened up a bit and made more clear sounding. In addition the bass needs to be...

Pretty old song that I decided to re-record

Drums a bit too much in front(at least when my bass was turned up on my eq a bit), but then other times not enough drums. It would be nice to hear some stereo or even better 5.1 clear drum rolls. Over all, Nice stuff. I think some playing with the levels of the different instruments thru out...

    Hi there again fellas!

I think all three sound good, but the third version I heard was def the best. Nice clear sounding stuff, does not sound too compressed, which I fear my band's stuff sounds too compressed. I'd like to hear the finished version when u get that far.

    Erik Rosvold or Chris Salinas?

I won't vote, but add my opinion. I loved Erik's vocals. I saw the guys live at Prog Power in Atlanta (I think III, It's been a few years, jeez). Erik was awesome and really worked to hit the notes he hit in the recording. He did not hit all of them and he was unhappy. I could see in his...

Troy to have Surgery late Oct/Early Nov... ZH pulls out of PP Scandinavia.

all the best, Troy. Jasun, I hope you guys will be able to do more in the future, We'll be waiting. I remember several years ago there was mention of this condition. I'm sure due to the brutally technical nature of ya'lls music, this has not helped his condition. Troy, you've been a...

    Fine Tuning Your SOUND!!!!

I have a ton of shit, but I say... Keep It Simple. Guitar, tube-amp, cab!!!! If you can get a good variety of tones this way. I get bored by hearing people sound the same way all the time though, that's why I have a ton of shit, so I can mess with tones and effects and different distortions...

    Official buying advice thread

Agile is a Korean made guitar. The Koreans are making very high quality products. I'd put most of theirs against most American made stuff any day. You get better value for the brand Agile compared to Epiphone. I'd put Agile up against Schecter and other major brands made in Asian countries...
