I didn't mention it in my initial list, but I'm really looking forward to the new Assemblage 23 album, which will be called Bruise. Some previews of the album are up now, and it is sounding like an excellent continuation from Compass. If you haven't heard this band before, I highly recommend...

Interesting you say that. I was thinking they'd be more likely to play an old Katatonia song, but, especially considering the way they described the EP and the preface, I think it might be a newer one.

Lacuna Coil - When a Dead Man Walks I've really wanted to hear this one a lot lately. Unleashed Memories is great. YES! I remember seeing them in New York City at The Mercury Lounge back in 2005. Little did I know that it would be their last show in the city. :(

I think it will be enjoyable, or interesting at the very least, but I wish they would post at least a preview track or sample! It would help in choosing which version of the album to buy.

I like the album the way it is. His technique was less refined, but it fit the album very well. I think if they were going to rerecord the vocals, they would have to rerecord the entire album, really! Not necessary, even though it might be interesting.

I can't believe they are finally doing this. I'm planning to hit Worcestor, MA and Hartford, CT. I really hope that the dates for this won't coincide with the 40 Watt Sun tour, as I don't want to miss either. (Though I will, of course, make it to at least one of the Katatonia shows.)
