    Bands "resurrected from the dead?!"

Well I thought it would be an interesting discussion to have about the kind of thing that sometimes happens, that you just never thought would - something like when the original line-up of Judas Priest got back together again with Rob Halford at the helm on "Angel of Retribution", or when...

New Angel Dust vocalist gives insights into new album

The new Angel Dust vocalist, Carsten Kaiser (formerly of Everflow), has revealed on the Angel Dust forum some news about the new album, how he feels about being the new vocalist, and his approach to the new Angel Dust recordings. Check out his comments here. Also Bernd Aufermann, the veteran...

    R2r and CC > STYE

I agree with the opinion that Come Clarity has great replay value - in that respect it's become my favourite In Flames album, and for a whole number of reasons. They're concentrating on better, more meaningful song-writing, melodies and technical proficiency - they're on a totally new level now...

new Blind Guardian songs, anybody listen to those yet?

After hearing a few samples, I bought the new album not so long ago (with a helluvalot of trepidation I must add, since the 'Opera' album was so utterly dreadful) and some of it was OK. Still in my opinion Blind Guardian have fallen so far down from 'Nightfall', and from what they themselves are...

    Do angel dust still exist?

This is extremely sad - someone should have at least followed up on the false dawn of last year and let the fans know what's happening (or not happening). Bernd Aufermann's site has also been down for a very long time, while Mercury Tide appear defunct. I still have some hope, though, for...

    Come Clarity video

Totally fkn amazing song, and now with a decent video. I think it's well shot - the scenery, backdrops and moody sky really work great with the feeling of this song, complementing it, adding to its power. Especially when the meteors rain down - this is an unexpected surprise, and makes an...

    Favourite Vocalist

EVERLOSTINDEADETERNITY - OK I used wrong labels, but I totally understand what you're saying, and agree with you - religions have been forced on people since the dawn of time and it is fine for any person to reject religion. It is frankly the best mass-manipulative tool known to man (you can...

    Favourite Vocalist

Yeah I checked out the 'Headbanger's Journey' film at a local cinema - pretty cool, some really interesting insightful stuff, particularly the interviews the guy managed to get - with guys like Dio, Iommi, Bruce Dickinson, Lemmy, and loads of bands. Some freaky sh!t going on with those...

    Fave AD ballad

Would "Liquid Angel" from Bleed qualify as a ballad? It has the ballad-type elements... Extremely powerful and moving... great vocal performance and the music accompanies the vocals well, particularly the 'piano' and guitars...

    Top five In Flames songs

Top 5??? That's a difficult call! There's so much... I like older stuff like Gyroscope, but I guess it's best to list what I keep going back to... My Sweet Shadow Come Clarity Discover Me Like Emptiness Cloud Connected Pacing Death's Trail

    Another "In Flames" cover

I like what you've done there - really, really cool!

    What's In Flames best era?

Still I think it has to be the more 'modern' era. I'm not a big fan of the old vocals. Personally I tend to listen mainly to the newer material - Clayman, Reroute, STYE, & Come Clarity - but not so much Clayman. Currently I think In Flames have the right mixture, and their song-writing...

    Favorite Album

Difficult choice but I think it has to be Come Clarity. It's consistently awesome, well-written and superbly produced. All the songs are great. Some incredible anthems on there, and the title track shows great depth. Personally I think it's the right blend and direction for In Flames.

    This Album is BAD

Unfortunately I have to agree with a lot of people that this is least memorable Evergrey album. I found it very disappointing to say the least... Though initially there were maybe two songs that appealed to me, I've quickly grown bored with the album's general lack of depth and don't listen...

Angel Dust prepare to record new album

Anyone heard anything about what's happened with the new album since March? No news updates on the official site, while Bernd Aufermann's site is currently down, and curiously Mercury Tide's is too...

What other genres do you like?

In Flames, Angel Dust, and Judas Priest are amongst my own favourite bands. Loved Brainstorm's last album, looking forward to more of the same.

Welcome, if you're a new member introduce yourself here!

Hi all. Been an Angel Dust fan for several years, and I guess like you I'm starved of positive news since March - what's happening with this new album?

    Mercury tide question

The Mercury Tide site has been down for a while - not sure if we should be too worried as Bernd Aufermann's own website is on and off now and again. Can I make an outrageous speculation...? That despite all he's said, Dirk Thurisch has canned Mercury Tide and is back with Angel Dust... Oh OK...
