Yeah, I too use Podfarm on bass quite often. If they hadn't given it away for free I wouldn't have bought it.

I played the Xbox 360 demo quite a bit and got a little bored of that map, but this game kicks the shit out of the MW2 multiplayer. I'll probably wait to pick up a used copy to save a bit of cash, but I'll definitely be buying it.

Yeah, using a mixers preamp as a boost may work, but depending on the quality of the mixer the guitar tone may get colored in a bad way. It's worth a try though.

I have this same problem with my M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. The only thing I've found to fix the problem is to use a boost pedal after the re-amp box. The best pedal I've found to do this is the Joe Meek FloorQ (with the compression bypassed of course), however, it's quite pricey at $250. So...

I recommend the Countryman Type 85. It's a fantastic DI and works really well with passive guitars.

Sounds very nice. I too believe the guitars should have a bit more mids. That should make them sound less narrow.
