Here's my shot, reamped with a redeye to 5150 and vader cab. Got surprisingly good results with the vader, most people don't like them for some reason

Thanks man, I appreciate it. The cymbals required a little bit of ingenuity seeing as I don't have kontakt 4 and the midi feature in drumagog doesn't work. I had to make the MIDI note of each separate track into a MIDI kick and use a kick soundfont to trigger the samples in drumagog. Best...

Yeah man tried as best I could to add some high end in, I think that's as good as it's gonna get. F# isn't exactly the ideal tuning to record in :(

If you're not using real amps that's probably the difference. It's hard to get a sound like that with a plugin

This is a test mix before we record some vocals for my band's new album, just wanted some opinions on everything. Guitars are TS-5150-OS Mesa-57. Drums are all slate but the cymbals are from sturgis:grin: Thoughts?

Agreed, skip. Most of the concepts you're actually covering are probably going to be above the grasp of newer guys anyways.
