Chuck Billy Sings Michael Jackson's "Thriller"!

As unbelievable as it sounds, Chuck Billy is doing a cover of "Thriller" for a compilation album which is a metal/rock tribute to Jacko! I'm not sure what to make of this, but I'm really interested to hear this! News of this can be found at this link...

Yep, my name is second from last in the credits! hehee It's so weird seeing my name there, but very cool too! :) What's your name, so I can look for it? Oh hang on! They do thank you ("Redfly") in the list of Flotsam messageboard warriors. I take it you didn't have to pay to get your...

If you have headphones/earphones, use them. I have weak laptop speakers too, but using earphones, the sound was amazing! Jason Ward's bass playing on some of the songs is immense! I really love how the bass is mixed on the album. You can hear it crystal clear, but it's not overpowering. :)...

I'm an idiot, I dunno what made me think you meant Jason Newsted! lol  Nope, it's been delayed, I got an email saying they needed more time to finish the album. It's the 21st now, nice early xmas pressie though! I did get an update with the final version of the song "Play Your Part"...

Yep, the cover is cool! :) Jason Newsted? I never got an update with him playing... I've had 30 updates in total so far... none with Jason in them though. :( I got an email from Flotz today showing a sneak peak at the cd booklet! Unfortunately it's too small to see the names in the thank...

    Testament is underrated!

I really can't state how much I disagree with that statement... I love all those bands you mentioned, but for me, Testament has been more consistent over their whole career than any of those bands. As for all their songs sounding pretty much the same... what? I can't believe you're being serious...

    Best song on The Legacy

It's tough for me to decide between this album and "The New Order" for my favourite Testament album, so choosing a favourite from it isn't the easiest task in the world! It's also my fave debut album of all time from any thrash band. :) "Over The Wall" has the best solo on the album, and is...

Your favourite song on "The New Order"

When I first heard the album in my mid teens, I was obsessed with "Disciples Of The Watch" for a while, as at that time I was heavily into horror movies, so the fact it was based on the movie "Children Of The Corn" instantly drew me to it! But even though that initial draw factor has been...

Your favourite song on "The Ritual"

If I had one gripe with "The Ritual", it would be that due to it's one dimensional nature, it can be a difficult record to listen to as a whole. In that regard, it has a lot in common with other albums by thrash bands that are wholly, or predominantly mid-paced, like "Youthanasia". Which is...

Last but not least ... "The Gathering"

I dunno about that... when I seen Testament headlining for the first time in July 2009, "D.N.R." was one of the highlights of the set for me. I think it has deservedly become a setlist staple in recent years. I'd agree that DFL is both groovy and thrashy, I was just questioning the assertion...
