    mixing too much guitarsss

I have always been an engineer who piles on the guitar tracks. Sounds good, well double it. Now a capo and figure out the part on a different neck position. Double that. Find a good combo amp that compliments the full stack in the mix - double that.. One day I downloaded some stems of a...

Let's talk about massive low ends

I've managed to transpose a bass DI track into MIDI using Melodyne, works pretty well. I have to source a good bass VSTi now, I am thinking of trying Trilian and the NI Kontakt Scarbie stuff. Something that I can blend with the real bass track and have the VSTi just be the subs/bottom end of the...

Let's talk about massive low ends

Man that is an inspiring post, I'm totally going into the studio tonight and trying all of this. Love the idea of VSTi bass synth handling the low end.

    Two-Notes Torpedo Reload - 1st use questions

I've copied the cabinet files over and they register now.. but I am still getting licence issues. Every time I load an instance of WoSIII it needs me to offline activate again. Even within the same DAW session, add a track and add a new instance of Wos, even though it has been registered on...

    Two-Notes Torpedo Reload - 1st use questions

Think I got it - it is because my DAW is offline. I just spotted a bit of info I should have seen earlier: ownload the Two Notes cabinets you just bought via the following link : http://store.two-notes.com/index.php?controller=tnLicenses Place the cabinet files onto your computer where...

    Two-Notes Torpedo Reload - 1st use questions

Yeah I created an account, and also put in the serial number from the inside sleeve of the manual for the Reload, so I would have thought that would give me a full licence file. Great to hear it's got the goods on bass cabs.

    Two-Notes Torpedo Reload - 1st use questions

I have redownloaded the licence file, and I am sure I have installed the correct VST plugin, but even after re installing everything and re applying the licence file, all I get are those 2 cabs. I am not sure why it will not give me the initial 24 cabs you speak of. I thought maybe the...

    Two-Notes Torpedo Reload - 1st use questions

Thanks guys, I will re download the licence file and try again. 24 cabs sounds much better! Anyone used it for bass? Can't seem to find many youtube vids with bass and the Reload.

    Two-Notes Torpedo Reload - 1st use questions

Hi Everyone I have a new mix space that is not great for loud amp tracking so have explored load boxes and cab sims and acquired a Torpedo Reload. I plugged in in for a test today and have a few questions for any other users. I registered the serial number and downloaded the Wall Of Sound...

New song - Death Metal stuff

Riffs are tasty! Jeez dude for line in.. the guitars sound pretty awesome. I can hear programming on the drums, get some more varied snare and cymbal hits. The left hand side crash is really "sample" sounding. What amp sim program? Nice work man thanks for sharing.

Looking for feedback on a Death Metal mix

Good sounds man.. I really like the cymbals.. that China sounds sweet and sits great in my headphones (I find China's either rip my ears off or blend in with guitar saturation). If I was going to pick anything to change, which is not a case of it being wrong.. just personal taste.. I would...

    The new mesa cabclone

The demo video doesn't sound that great to my ear for the high gain sounds. Fizzy / static sounding top end, like an early version of Guitar Rig. They had a U87 on the cab, I think if they let us hear that it would be game over

    Mix like lamb of God

The drums sound pretty flat, are they using multisamples? The snare and kicks sound like the same shot. When that triplet kick happens it is really obvious.. You got EzDrummer 2? Sneap kit on that would help here IMO

Would anyone be interested in raws for this Meshuggah Cover?

Great mix, really love that guitar tone.. bass is big too. Interested in what chain / amp sims you used? Top work!

    ENGL Powerball haters

While a little bit thin, it really works for your song. I think it might be missing a little low-mid action, a bit "static" sounding in the high mids. I certainly would not say that this is not a very good amp, sounds like it has some great tones. Thanks for uploading, enjoyed!
