Just listened to "A new dawn": Perfect mix of older and new In Flames plus a brilliant mid-part. So just more exciting about the new album. I hate superlatives but it might be a masterpiece.

Please let's return to the topic and that's the new album. Is there anyone who has more infos/deeper insights of how the new stuff will sound like? Someone said there would be much more clean vocals? Just a rumour or do you really know it?

Actually I still think that ASOP is the best album In Flames ever recorded - and I'm not just a fanboy. I was there in the beginning and loved Lunar Strain til Jester Race. Whoracle and Colony I found a bit boring at that time. Clayman again was excellent. RTR and STYE were fresh and modern...

accepted, though I think humour in forums is a quite delicate thing. ;-) check out this one, it's different, maybe more for the katatonia tribe though the sound of course can't compete with the katatonic masters of the universe. :zombie:

there's one thing about VE that could be improved a lot: the drum sound compare the drum sound of VE with TGCD or NISTND and you get the point. about LFDGD: it's perfect, anders! :rock:

I couldn't agree more to most of the post. It's simply a terribly ridiculous video and doesn't represent Katatonia at all. At least concerning my opinion. Cancer for my eyes. :zombie:

I meant "simple" in the vein of "less layers" or "less tracks". This atmospheric parts, Mr. Default created, are really great ... but sometimes it's simply too much, at least in my opinion. Good example again ... idle blood. Or take the beginning riff of "Day and then the shade". Sounds like...
