So Malice is a big spender! The new Kraanium is decent, though at 40 minutes I was hoping for a bit more variety in the riff department--this thing is not quite varied enough for me to sustain this duration. I like it, but less than the last one for certain. The new Craniotomy is an...

and i'll double whatever malice is paying for gorepoflesh... hymenotomy sounds pretty cool--thanks for posting, morguelord. i just ordered new kraanium and craniotomy albums...the previous releases by each band are both top 5 slamming dm albums for me, so my expectations are very high.

thanks for posting--lots of chugging on this one and a good snare sound. i looked around for a hard copy, but saw only downloads. is this available?

That Pus Vomit EP is pretty solid.

Very cool! I agree with your assessment of live Goblin. I saw the Simonetti/Morante/Guarini/Two New Guys incarnation in New York, and months later, the Pignatelli/Marangolo/Guarini/Morante version in Connecticut and there was no comparison. Simonetti's rhythm section is solid, but very...

Thanks for posting on here---I just bought a copy of Against the Wall... as a result. Your vocals are particularly good--- everything I like about Shawn Whitaker's gurgling and viscid approach in Insidious Decrepancy, though yours is probably better. ...and on a related note of Italian...

Krow. Thanks for posting the Extinctionist-- my favorite of the recent posts, and I ordered a copy. After being so impressed with the new Vomituous EP, I got their previous one-- Surgical Ambominations..., which is also loaded with good, memorable hooks and recommended, albeit quite short...

    Brutal/Slam Death Metal

welcome back morguelord. i ordered that corprophemia album, which sounds good. thanks for posting. malice--that excoriation sounds almost like last days of humanity--tons of pinging snare and abstract churning. not sure how a whole album of that sits. the delusional parasitosis sounds...

    Brutal/Slam Death Metal

soils of fate is really solid and the slam album i'm returning to most often since last year's necrambulant, expurgate and craniotomy releases. the new pathology did not stand out for me at all (and the drums seem programmed like on the last one, even though astor can obviously play for real)...

nice and raw bdm with some good hooks. thanks for posting--- i pre-ordered it.

    Brutal/Slam Death Metal

Legacy and Awaken are the two Pathology albums I return to the most and have more chunky hooks than the more noodling Time of Great Purification, which I like far less. Age of Onset is decent, but Legacy and Awaken are just at a different level for me. I've not yet gotten the new one by them...

Cool. I'd also really push Craniotomy's superb Supply of Flesh Came Just in Time as having great slams, but also the sense of song found in more classic death metal, which appeals to a huge Bolt Thrower fan like myself. Over time, this album has turned into my top favorite of the sub-subgenre...
