My band opened for the Hartford show and I was really happy with the way it turned out. We had technical difficulties and played a 15 minute set, but it was fun and considering our minimal rehearsal it came out amazingly. Katatonia though.... I wanted Murder, dammit! Everyone else got it but us. :(

I saw 'em twice on this tour and loved it. Maybe it was an off-night, but I found Mikael's stage banter hilarious and a necessary part of their show.

This is their best post-SSOASS album, period. It takes the familiar sounds and mixes them with new elements, such as on The Legacy, Lord of Light and Brighter Than A Thousand Suns. Plus, it has The Pilgrim, which is one of the catchiest tracks they've ever recorded. I wasn't expecting the album...

Yeah, I was wearing a Burger King crown all night and when I tried to throw it up to the band it landed in the crowd. :(

They're one of my favorite newer bands. I think Cedric's voice is one of their highlights, he puts a lot behind his performances.

Gorguts? Obscura and From Wisdom to Hate are pretty out there for death metal.
