ReaComp and ReaEQ will get you good sounds. You gotta learn to use the stuff, that's all. :)

I don't have that plugin. Did you try it? He didn't even say what exactly would happen. Better... ?!

Take off all the reverb stuff off the drums and make them sound good when they are totally dry. Then if you feel the need for rev/room add some and notice how the drum sounds do change. Be very careful with reverb on the kick and rather avoid it. Try some compression on the kick to give it more...

Hi there, This could make your mixes 200% better: First, take everything off the master inserts. It doesn't sound good right now because this stuff is pumping like crazy in a bad way. Make sure that it sounds GOOD before adding anything to the master inserts which should not happen too early...

Clip 1 sounds way better to me. #2 is very fatigueing, it sounds like the plastic version of clip 1. Very good everything! Very well produced and engineered. Respect!

Cool. Guitar sound works for that. Everything sounds a little muffled. You overdid the master limiter, back that down and it could be that it surprisingly starts to breathe. We dig some Metallica, don't we?;)

I like the guitar sound! Mixwise the pumping is a little to much for me. I'd raise the release on that compressor/limiter.

Oops, I was talking about the first mix. Should have refreshed the page after having been away for hours. :blush: Mix is cool. A taste thing: I wouldn't put the vox behind the kick which is most up front of all sounds.

Cool mix, cool tune! All has been said plus a little more love for the cymbals. They sound a little flat.
