    Cover song suggestions?

I think To-Mera could really make stuff like Genesis' 'land of confusion' very interesting.

    To-Mera + guests. London 28th may.

Cool bill. Octavia Sperati are kinda cool atmospheric doom rock, a bit on the unspectacular side, but competent.

    Mainstream

Should you find Julie on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, then consider this band has gone mainstream.

Leicester - photos and videos.....oh yes

Lee's wearing a Gronibard shirt, how is that for underground street cred, hehe :kickass: It's time you guys and girl hit Belgium, I need to check this band out live.

    To-Mera in Terrorizer's reader polls

Right, To-Mera sounds nothing like Nightwish, but I guess that was the easiest comparison they could conjure up.

Thoughts on Transcendental on other forums

Been spreading the word a bit on the Nuclear Blast forum. http://www.nuclearblast.de/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4231

Should To-Mera use more eastern influences?

Agreed. The extensive Eastern sounding vocal intro (on the track 'Traces', in particular) sounded really different and unique, from what I read it is somewhat reminiscent of Sheila Chandra and Monsoon. Integrating some more of these Indian and world music kind of (vocal and guitar)...

Should To-Mera use more eastern influences?

Bring it on, the intro to the album really sounded wicked.

    Mainstream

I don't see To-Mera going "mainstream" anytime soon, as Lee said himself, the stuff they write is simply too technical and complicated for the avarage listener. Unless, the jazz audience should suddenly embrace them. Personally, I like the band the way they are. No commercialisms like (later)...

That's cool, Lee. Fill us in on the details when the fest date approaches, so I can buy you and Julie a beer at the festival, hehe!

    Some UK shows

Oh yeah, not entirely related to the live activities, but... I've been promoting the band a bit on a couple of forums, including DeathMetal.be, the Nuclear Blast forum and siN's Metal Forums.

    Some UK shows

True, but they have After Forever, Epica and Leaves' Eyes as headliners already. That's 3 "big name" bands that 'll pull in the majority of the crowd. Give it a shot, I'd say.

Great! I have mailed Julie yesterday about the Gathering's cancellation on this fest, so maybe their booking agent can pull a few strings & see what happens. Would be some great exposure for TO-MERA should they be able to land a spot on this fest.

The Gathering have cancelled their appearance at Metal Female Voices Fest (www.metalfemalevoicesfest.be) - maybe TO-MERA can try and get on the fest now that there's a free spot?
