Ghost Reveries doesn't have a concept. Some of the songs were written for one, and it was planned, but didn't happen.

Orphaned Land are fucking awesome. And you lot need to give this guy a break, not knowing Opeth that well makes him no less a person as you. Give him some time.

hahaha, someone on here did that didn't they? Also, just watched the Ghost Reveries DVD, and in the credits at the end it says 'Martin "Bass Player" Mendez' - another joke that started on this forum. Brilliant.

I'm pretty sure Mike has said it isn't. It was going to be at first, but then when they wrote it, it wasn't any more. Because of this, some of the songs probably sound like they fit into some sort of a story, but there isn't one really.

yup, indeed. Seeing Opeth live is great :D Been on the front row every single time I have seen them, it's WELL worth it.
