I would suggest you visit Finland - it is worth the money! And they usually play on festivals so you get to listen to some good metal. Finns are the most hospitable nation I know (and I've visited a few) and if you search sites like couchsurfing or hospitality club you WILL find eager hosts, who...
I have this feeling that the band has moved to facebook more and I do find a very simple reason for that - it's easier to reach people this way. It is a "recent" move they've made and with the new site I noticed the forum link has been removed. Forums have, sadly, become unnecessary for keeping...
Of course gaz, but doesn't it also depend on the bands availability and willingness to go places? Nonetheless, I think with the amazing album and a multitude of great reviews and ratings the offers will pour in ;)
Oi Suoherrat!
Any plans for touring outside of Finland this year? The Finnish dates are completely not doable for me as of right now and I feel I haven't taken part in the Swamp Show for too long!
Gaz, it will definitely be worth the wait!
I really like the song that Velski composed: Wolves on the Throne - he really knows what you're about guys. It already caught my attention on the first audition of the new album but only today after reading the interviews you posted on your fb page did...
Thanks guys. Back on topic.
Toughts on the new album?
I LOVE IT!
It came in the mail today. After spending half a day with Finnish friends it makes me even more connected. I love the packaging and the artwork(!!!)
Suoherrat, you never disappoint!
My friend who did find it somewhere said it is the most epic sounding of all Kalmah albums. I refused to listen as my order (I loved the number: 11881811) shipped today and I am really hoping it gets to me on the release day (which is in 2 days!) and I want to have the best possible quality. I...
I love them for the rhythm and good riffs. Rarely will a metal band go 3/4 and they do! And the growls; I believe George does a great job. I will not stand a band with poor drumming and they rock with that as well. Insomnium isn't quite the same and I have to say - I'm not as excited about their...
I've just pre-ordered mine. I can't wait! I love both Seventh Swamphony and Windlake Tale. Also - having walked in a marsh just a few weeks ago I feel like a true Swamplady now! Very exciting stuff indeed!
My other favorite after Kalmah and somewhat on par with Insomnium would be Be'lakor. Great riffs and extreme growls - a little different, but magnificent quality just like the other two!
