I love my Apollo Duo, definitely one of the best investments I've made in the last couple years. The pultec, 1176, LA-2A, LA-610 and the Shadow Hills comp get tons of use. Definitely picking up their Neve channel.

I totally agree with you, I was just curious if other people did it regularly or not. Anyway, adding or subtracting a couple db here and there between the bass and kick really helped things even out.
