Just one word for you guys.... "CYNIC"... does it ring a bell ?! They made us wait 14 years to get another album !! was it a painful wait? Yes was our patience driven to new heights? yes was hope lost at most intervals of the wait? yes was the new album WORTH THE WAIT? ABSO-F*CKIN-LUTELY...

If i were to add Dream Theater to the poll, i would have had to change the entire poll into a Progressive Metal one, and I would have had to change the entire list of candidates. Dream Theater are more Progressive than technical... besides, i would have rather put Symphony X, Shadow Gallery...

yes, atomized dream is a gem... a blast from their past + a fresh twist on every single piece !!! ...but i still prefer Spatial/Design the most... don't know why really... listening to it always gives me a hightened sense of musical perfection... even with all the sloppy recording in mind...

:rock: I can only imagine how great these guys perform live !! I envy you dude :p ... the closest thing i saw to a band or someone shredding live was Yngwie Malmsteen

Actually, Feeding the Machine was James' last Album in 1998. Convergence was prior to that, and James' first solo album in 1996. * get your facts straight !!
