pink floyd - Echoes, but closer to the pompeii versions; Axe Eugene i could imagine being unbelievable... what about opeth modernizing some 80's floyd like Learning to Fly or High Hopes? i could imagine marooned with a bit of a dark opeth twist added to it and actual harmonics instead of those...

see the thing I have is that everyone is putting down the tgc riff. 9 out of 10 opeth fans will agree, tgc is one of opeth's weakest songs, but it isn't even because of the riff... its basically everything else and the way the riff is played. in ph, its slowed down and played to be...

i think it would have been better combining the two, although atmosphere-wise i believe its PH is the strongest track on the album.

I actually believe they did it on purpose because it went with the story of MYAH because its about a dead guy's soul wandering around, so I'm guessing its supposed to be the protagonist in corpse paint or something. and I never noticed it till october last year when my ex girlfriend pointed it out.
