Accurate IR's for Load Boxes and Amp Sims

Thanks for comparison. In first video REACT:IR sounds almost the same as real cab, Suhr lacking maybe due to short IR length (only 20 ms).

Suhr Reactive Load vs React IR vs Real Cabinets as a load

    Thanks for comparison.

St.Rock REACT:IR New load box + IR loader

BTW. There was XMas software update, check how smooth GUI is now. And all current batch of units sold out, next generation with improved attenuator will come early next year.

St.Rock REACT:IR New load box + IR loader

Just reamped my old project with EVH 5150III 50W and REACT:IR. In "two words" REACT:IR a reactive + resonance load box with IR loader capable of handling IRs with length up to 190 ms with overall latency 1.3 ms. For more info on REACT:IR go to https://www.st-rock.com/React-IR/ If you want...

Does any 'Amp Modeler + Plug-in' Hybrid Digital Solution Exist?

VSTs require significantly more computational power. In case of HW amp modellers processors usually have less computational power and fewer memory. In case of of performing some computations on addition processing machine most probably you will have more latency.

    Experimenting with Impulses (Feedback welcome)

Just tried with my material. Loaded IRs in my load box (St. ROCK REACT:IR, https://www.st-rock.com/React-IR/) Used amp is pretty linear, so no need for passive mode. Impulses better suited for preamp signal/solid state (flat) PA, because of huge resonance. I think that R2-R4 in my case is...

Is this DI good enough to reamp / am i going nuts?

I`m also used 5-6 mm last time with EMG 85. But 250k single volume gives more output (closer to SD AHB-1), so it`s not a problem.

Is this DI good enough to reamp / am i going nuts?

What was pickup height before, how far from strings? By the way I`m did some reamping testing one amp simulation on some hardware. First tone matched fragment (one of my favourite tones by Sneap), then just throw in some my DIs with D-Sonic and following by EMG 85 (with 250k volume) on the same...

Is this DI good enough to reamp / am i going nuts?

Virtual signal level can fool you sometimes. In one case, with particular ampsim, you can have virtual level lower than reference level in actual amp (which is modelled), sometimes higher. With active pickups (actually with any pickups) you should start with minimal gain, pick as hard as you...

Is this DI good enough to reamp / am i going nuts?

IMHO, you should, at least, record your DI without clipping from your interface if it is possible (i.e. you can reduce gain on interface). Basically wide range pickups like EMGs sound in a way of passive pickup through tube screamer, cutting lows and without resonance peak. For DI with EMGs it...

    ENGL E530... cab cable question

I`m just use speaker cable wired to tip and sleeve contacts of TRS jacks, ring contact not soldered. ENGL E430 have the same built in PA. Now I`m using better sounding 5W FET PA with my E430.
