    Bye Bye Bugera

Nice mix! Definitely sounds like something I can hear on the radio....... but did anyone else notice the EXACT copying of zombie? Or was it just me who noticed the chord progression and vocal pattern to be very similar at points? (not that it's got anything to do with Ermz obviously, just an...

Why is there a lack of baritone guitars for the metal world?

I'm sure they don't have so many mistakes on ALL. I might have come off too general. You guys are right. BUT, the one I have, and the ones that they have at the dealer's, ALL have fret work issues (and the dealer asked me to fix another wiring issue on a new one as well, so it's not that...

Why is there a lack of baritone guitars for the metal world?

I own a hellraiser C-1 and I gotta say that I lost all respect to Schecter after buying that thing. Before you jump the gun though I have to say that after spending half a day with so many tools and knives on it it plays good now! But, here's what I found about ALL Schecters (the higher end...

    Songwriting (How Do?)

For us (Capricious Alchemy), it's either we bring various riffs and we arrange them together, or work on seperate songs each. In my case, I start off by defining my scale of progression, then move on to my beloved piano or synth, strum a couple of chords here and there, get a rough idea on where...

    Another teary eyed thread

HAI GAAAAICE I LAAVE YOOOO! *sniff sniff* But seriously, eversince I joined this forum, I have learned SO DAMN MUCH that I can't begin to thank all of you (flamers, nice ones, n00bs, experts, ALL) for the huge amount of info you provide here. I have not yet contributed to this forum...

    Audio Interface with wireless usb?

Yay! Something that doesn't require a 1M post count to contribute to! :D Sending that much data through a wireless device (even if it's WiFi not whateverthehellthetechnologyis) is not a good idea. A wireless G router loses 50% of its signal behind after a concrete wall. So I can imagine how...

Recommendations on MIDI Keyboards, Soundcard and Studio Monitors.

If it's orchestral stuff and since Samsons were suggested, I would say get the r6a's instead. The ribbon tweeters are a little "truer" if I may say than the normal stuff by Samson. The bass response is not bad either on the Rubicons. As for the keyboard, I am currently looking for a change as...

Addictive Drums and Guitar Pro MIDI, help please?

There should be an option in Cubase where you select whether you want the MIDI file to be imported as seperate tracks or one purged track. I faced that issue once with sonar and once with reaper but it was a simple fix. It did make me go MAOO?!? once or twice though :P I'm not a Cubase expert so...

Ibanez S series; with Floyd Rose - tuning keeps slipping? Any ideas?

I haven't gone through all the replies but unless your issue is not the obvious "bridge level, tension, etc" it might be the following issue (which i've faced ONLY with cheap ibanez bridges, not the Pro nor the high end models): Check if the knife edge (or the tiny knife round slots) are too...

    Reamping with a GT-10

Thanks mate. That's all the info I needed. Cheers, Sami

    Reamping with a GT-10

So I guess it doesn't matter whether the recorded signal is exactly as high as the original guitar output. And that I will have to tweak the level while reamping to get the best sound. Thought the whole point of a DI box was to keep the original signal unaffected and only match impedences...

    Reamping with a GT-10

Wow, I thought this would be a very easy question... considering the knowledge level I've seen here. Did I miss something? Or am I just being ignored?

Alright thanks Lasse, and sorry about the wrong section ;) Cheers, Sami

    Reamping with a GT-10

Hey people! New here, but I've been lurking for months and I gotta thank you all for the insane amounts of info and help you dish out here. Been wanting to post a couple of things but always thought it's better to figure it out on my own and not get flamed and have my blood pressure raised :P...

    Best passive replacements for EMGs?

I switched the passive dimarzios on my XPT700 to EMG 81/85 and did not have to change the jack. And yes it was exactly the same jack shown in the pic (the stewmac jack). Most jacks can be wired in stereo for EMG's. Just check how many legs it has. I'm 90% sure it would work.
