  1. Disintegrator Of Lasting Hope

First set of lyrics from the new Queensryche album.

I head the clips from all the songs and was really dissapointed. To me, it sounded even worse than Q2k. I definitely won't buy the damn thing. Queensryche is dead. It's a shame, first Rush and then Ryche. :erk:

Anyone here familiar with the band IQ?

I still like it a lot. Of course it's commercial but I dig the melodies and Paul Menel has a comfortable voice. The 8-minute song "Würensh" is IMO quite progressive and also my favorite on the album. It has lots of a variety and really strong melodies. Then again, I also like more simpler songs...

Anyone here familiar with the band IQ?

I got this 2-CD concept album called "Subterranea" and it's quite amazing. One of the best progrock albums from the 90s. I also have 5 other IQ-albums and it's hard to say which one is the best. They all have their own charm. "Nomzamo" (1987) is the most catchy and "commercial" album. That can...

What do you look for in a PROG vocalist?

Sieges Even "a sense of change" is not that hard to find. You can order it from Amazon, Laser's Edge, CDnow, etc. Some of their other albums are out of print, but that one should be quite easy to find.

What do you look for in a PROG vocalist?

Yes, Steve Hogarth has a great voice and he's very versatile. He can sing nearly anything. "Season's End" is my favorite post-Fish era album and I place it very close to those four Fish-era albums. Songs like "...The Space", "King Of Sunset Town" and "Easter" really shows his ability.

What do you look for in a PROG vocalist?

Indeed. "a sense of change" is one of the single best vocal performances in progressive rock. Songs like "These Empty Places" and "Change Of Seasons" are out-of-this-world. :Spin:

What do you look for in a PROG vocalist?

I like different kind of voices... to me the most imporant is the singer's personality and how it affects his output. You have to get the feeling he/she means every word he/she sings and that he/she can put some emotion into it. My favorite progvocalists are Peter Hammill, Fish, Peter Gabriel...

First set of lyrics from the new Queensryche album.

Pitiful lyrics indeed. Looks like they have lost all the artistic qualities they ever had. I wonder who wrote that piece of shit... Geoff maybe?

Your 3 favorite songs from each Enchant-album?

Of course I like it, but you can only choose three. Actually I could change the list to "Open Eyes", "Oasis" and "At Death's Door" and I would be telling the truth. So many good songs to choose from.

    I need more Enchant!!!

I'm really looking forward to get the full-length album. They have been working on the songs for a long time now... there will be a 15-minute epic (I've seen two working-titles "Styx" and "Moon Over The Elysian Fields")... possibly another masterpiece âla "These Empty Places"??? One can...

    I need more Enchant!!!

Did you know that Looking-Glass-Self is now Val'paraiso??? They have a new vocalist, some Arno Menses from Netherlands. I've been listening to these two new songs ("The Lonely Views Of Condors" and "Where Our Shadows Sleep") and I like them very much. It's a kind of music that grows on you and...
