    The Moody Blues

Days of Future Passed (esp. Nights in White Satin & Tuesday Afternoon), To Our Children's Children's Children (Gypsy, Eternity Road esp.), On the Threshhold (Lovely To see You & Are you sitting comfortably) & In Search of the Lost Chord (Legend of a Mind, Ride my See-saw and Voices in the Sky)...

Death Magnetic - Out Sep. 12 Worldwide

I hated The Day That Never Comes when I first heard it, and I still hate parts of it, but somehow it's grown on me. But yeah, the album is really nothing too special. Not bad, but it's the kind of album that I'll probably wear out in a week or so and then hardly ever, if ever play it again...

Death Magnetic - Out Sep. 12 Worldwide

I'm also impressed with death magnetic, but then again my expectations were really low. It's not another Lightning/Puppets/Justice obviously, but it's probably somewhere close to on par with the black album (though I liked that one more actually).

What Music Have You Bought Recently?

SYL - Alien  Somehow I didn't even know about this one. So insane.

    DELIVERANCE album appreciation

Damnation was my favorite for a while. So was Deliverance, at a different point. Hard to choose between the two, but I'd say Damnation is probably my favorite of the two overall. Reason being, Master's Apprentices, A Fair Judgment and Deliverance are the only tracks on the album that I...

    Status Quo/Grateful Dead

Status Quo's one of those bands I never hear much about, however I was looking through my music library and noticed that I have a few songs from "In Search of the Fourth Chord", and it seems to have potential. So what's everyone think of these guys? What albums should I check out? And as for...

most overrated band in the history of forever?

Contenders for me: Radiohead Nirvana The Stones Enslaved Iron Maiden Guns N Roses Aerosmith KISS Just because I think they're overrated doesn't mean I don't like them (although that's mostly true of the last 4). Radiohead is good, but only that. In a less fucked up world...

    Best Tool Album?

I keep jumping back and forth between Ænima, Lateralus and 10,000 Days as my favorite. Between Ænima and Lateralus, either would be a good choice to check out.

    The DOORS

The Doors kick major ass. -Soul Kitchen -People Are Strange -The End -Peace Frog -The Crystal Ship All rank as among some of my favorite songs by any band, ever. There's actually plenty of their stuff I probably haven't heard, as a few years ago I bought a 2-disc best of album and...

    The New Meshuggah - obZen

I'm listening to it right now. Pretty solid so far. I haven't really heard much Meshuggah before now, but this inspired me to check out more of their stuff.

    All time favorite album

Way too hard to pick only one. I'd have a hard time even narrowing it down to five, but I'll try. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust (Bowie) Dark Side of the Moon Still Life Thick as a Brick (Jethro Tull) American Beauty (Grateful Dead) By no means what I listen to the most or even...

    David Bowie

Yeah, my bad. My connection was fucked and I accidentally clicked the button twice. But anyway, I got The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory, and they're both super badass. Low is really good as well. I've known Bowie's music for years, but somehow I never really got into him...

    David Bowie

What's everyone's favorite albums/songs? I've really been getting into him lately, but I only have a small fraction of his stuff. So far I just have a 4-disc set called Sound and Vision, and a best of album. Any other recommendations?
