Trouble at The Cortionist/Loomis/Chimp Spanner/7 Horns show in Lansing

I've heard a few people say they're alright dudes, but then again I've heard of a few incidents of them beating the shit out of people. The violent tough guy image doesn't cover up shitty music.

Trouble at The Cortionist/Loomis/Chimp Spanner/7 Horns show in Lansing

They're blacklisted from just about every venue around here. There was a youtube video from one of their shows that shows them throwing part of a dead deer carcass into the crowd, along with what appears to be a dead cat in a plastic bag, but the video is private now. Their crew is full of 16-26...

Trouble at The Cortionist/Loomis/Chimp Spanner/7 Horns show in Lansing

They live in Flint, which is fairly dangerous. I guess that's their excuse for their violent antics. I think it's pointless.

Trouble at The Cortionist/Loomis/Chimp Spanner/7 Horns show in Lansing

I've played a show with this band before. They basically bring a "crew" with them. The fans get rowdy and start fights. The show I played with them was about a month ago, the usual incidents happened, cops showed up and ended up having to use mace. Needless to say, most Michigan venues/promoters...

Yessir. I honestly didn't care for the 6534+ with the previous cab I had, which was a custom-made 412 with eminence speakers. Had no bottom end at all. The Mesa 412 completely changed that. Sound so beefy now. Posted a brief clip on the rate my mix section if anyone cares to hear it.

If it helps here are the guitars soloed, http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42183301/Rose%20of%20Sharyn%20Mesa%20Guitars.wav

Sounds nice and full, as well as clear without much, if any, cloudiness. The only thing I can really think of is to throw a mattress and/or blankets/sleep bags up against the closest reflection areas.

Well the floor is carpeted, but could getting the cab off the ground help? Also just to clarify, would you say the tone itself sounds good, no need for adjustments?

Thanks for the advice. The basement is about 15 ft wide x 45 feet long, no treatment at all. The cab is about 8 feet from one end of the basement. I've been angling it a slightly towards the wall rather than just pointing the cab straight to the other end of the basement.

    Guide Me (Peavey 6534+)

Been lurking the forums for a while and have been fiddling with recording guitars for about a year. I've been getting slightly better but not making any leaps in progress on making the guitars sit well in a mix. My question is where would you go from here? Warning it's a very short clip, and I...

Got the Peavey about six months ago for about $600. Got the Mesa 412 a couple days ago for $550 in damn near perfect condition.
