    It's pretty simple. 16 is low. 4 is high. If you want more body go 4. if you want more control go 16. If you want both go 8.

    ^ This guy knows what's up. detuning is for people who's shit isn't set up properly. Try the right string gauges for the scale length and tuning you're going for.

    Tracking with no latency

    Smaller Buffer size and using low latency monitoring helps :) If i'm running plugins with a little bit of latency i usually bypass them when tracking to get rid of latency, then just reactivate to listen back. Hope that helps

    Simple solution. If you want a kick with massive low end that is SUPER EASY to mix. Trigger your kicks with the Brian Kick. You'll find it somewhere if you look :)

    Gosh! Joey has explained this. He gave this one away a while ago. You record the guitars at half tempo. Like half the speed as tight as you can. Then you chop the fucker up so every note is cut in half. Delete every second section you have divided up. Drag all your little clips together...

    pod farm buzz

    Try using guitar rig 5 (yes the free stuff that is on there) and using their Noise reduction thing before you even use podfarm. Helps me when i know im recording shitty guitar and it does that wierd hummy buzz thing after a mute. It's basically a decimator. A noise gate is too attacky and sloppy.
