Well... I'm back. Couldn't resist :) First of all, it is obvious on this album that the rythme section has found its place ! The bass is stronger in the mix than before, and the little bass soli here and there are really refreshing. Along with Johanne's playing, who obviously had (took ?)...

After hanging around on this forum for the last few days, therefore being active on a forum for the first time in my life, i am quite saddened to see that there isn't much constructive debate possible. This place makes me feel like i'm stuck between fanatic watch dogs on one side, and useless...

James LaBrie already tried the beard thing, didn't prevent him achieving to lose whatever voice he had left. No, I love the dramatic aspect that Damian brings to the band, he should just shave and stay himself ;)

You know, I just meant that with such a high technical level, I really find it too bad that he plays the same licks over and over. I don't want him to play jazz, my point is that it's good to step outside of your usual beat, to get new inspiration. But yes, there's some cool new guitar stuff...

I neither have their experience, nor their means of production, and though I am working on it, I haven't put out any real full length record. By the way, I am 23. Does that mean I can't have an opinion ? Am I being too harsh on them thinking that they are a few steps away from being successful...

Whatever, this band is quasi perfect, there's not much they can do to improve, they're never trying to sound like anybody else, especially not in their instrumental sections, their verses, choruses, bridges, are not commercial enough, and they are far too original, compared to Queen, Opeth...

Thanks for the reply maestro ! Don't get me wrong, I absolutely don't want you to sound like other guys (PM or Toto for instance). But, as Mikael Akerfeldt, whom you might know for being the singer/guitarist for Opeth, once said : once you know what your sound is, the only way to keep it fresh...

Chill out Lake of Despond... Honestly i've been noticing Threshold fans are very touchy when it comes to criticizing this album. I wasn't around when Dead Reckoning came out, maybe that's the reason why I missed it in the first place. I'll tell you why criticizing Threshold is good ...

YES ! I GOT THE ALBUM ! It wasn't supposed to be out until monday, officially, but they had it in store, so I bought it :) I've been waiting for 5 years, and god it was worth it. I'm listening to the album right now and it's a killer. Not quite the same texture as Dead Reckoning, it sounds...

I checked on iTunes France, Spain and Italia, and the album is to be released on the 27th there. Weird.

Well I will check tomorrow but I think it'll be possible to buy it on Amazon Germany !

Then I guess France isn't part of the EU anymore ;) Thanks, can't wait to get it !

Hi guys, the official release date is set for tomorrow, august 24th, but checking various websites, such as Amazon, iTunes and Fnac, I notice the album won't be available before a few days, even in mp3 version. Any thought ?
