You don't know too many good French metal bands, because there are flat out not many good french metal bands. The best french metal band I've ever heard is a black metal band called Blut Aus Nord.

I don't think a single person has yet to mention 1. Pavor which is a horrendous shame. 2. Depresy 3. Malevolent Creation 4. *old* Hypocrisy (w/ Masse on vocals) 5. Morbid Angel and what little I've heard of Tremors is fucking mesmorizing.

Cradle of Filth, Children of Bodom, and Dimmu Borgir are not Death Metal.

Those are some pretty great demo songs. I would be very excited to hear a full length album. I am really glad you posted this in Bloodbath's forums or else I most likely would have never been able to hear these songs. I really dig "Rituals", it may sound odd but to me that song really sounds...

I certainly do know the word, but if you think there is any of it on Catch 22 you are sadly mistaken. I said Catch 22 wasn't agressive enough, because it was supposed to be an agressive album, but agressive in the nu-metal sense which is retarded agressive. It doesn't have to be Penetralia or...
