I just got a Rode NT1 for a good price on eBay. That's my last purchase for a while. Time to start making music! :) I might buy the latest TSE x50, though. I've got an early one and it's awesome. Having said that, if the Thermionik demo is good, I'll buy that instead.

Do Nile use Marshal 1960 cabs? Just find an IR made with one of those cabs and use it as a starting point. A lot of their tone is to do with the pre-amp which IRs don't capture anyway.

I missed the deal as well but I'm not too fussed. $19.99 isn't much money and these cabs are totally worth it. They blend nicely, too.

I thought I'd bump this briefly. I bought these cabs recently and they sound really good! Lots of body to them but have the high-end qualities you expect from the different cabs. Really good stuff.

They all sound great but that Recto is pure class. They truly are a fantastic creation. I've always wanted to have a good thrash on an EVH 5150III and the recording of yours sounds nice.
