    Just a little 'hello'....

Hi Andreas, Great to hear you are working on a new album. I would love to hear SW explore sonic extremes: some heavier songs and one or two quiet songs (like Tears for a Father/Long Way Home etc). I also love it when uptempo songs have quiet parts in them like the "Tell us a story of...

    Obsessing on the new CD

It wasn't a huge "fuck up" as far as I can remember - he just missed one line of the second verse or something like that. I'd still like to see it included. I am kind of hoping for a few bonus 'live in-studio' songs to supplement those that were played in the two shows. They could always...

'TIARA' is out now - 12/10/18!

For Seventh Wonder, heavier does seem the natural way to go. I cant wait. You wouldn't be a prog metal ban if every album wasn't heavier yet more melodic than the last.

Redemption lyrics that have profoundly affected you

There are so many truely moving lyrics across all of Redemption's songs. The lyrics that have meant the most to me personally are the 'chorus' from Memory: I don't want the ignorance that a spotless mind would bring But I'm scared my dying breath will be your name. I think that line (and...

There was a deathly silence after the song ended which was such a shame because its a great song. Ray joked that that was exactly the same response as in London.

Nick said that he had been promised the venue until 10.30 then told during the performance that he had to finish at 10. The rest of ProgPower was amazing. Symphony X were bang on form and played both DWOT and The Odyssey. Other stand outs for me were Serenity and Beyond the Bridge.

During Friday's set they had a few issues with the guitar (missed off Bernie's solo in Parker's Eyes) and Ray missed a few lines in Walls. Other than that it was a great show, good setlist and fantastic performance. Unlike all the other bands, they had a video playing in the background (a...

Redemption to record DVD / CD at Progpower...and you can help!

This is so awesome in so many ways. ProgPower cant get any better: Not one but TWO Redemption shows. Not to mention a new DVD filmed at a show I will be attending. You guys are the greatest

Big news coming in the next day or so...

New Album? New Live DVD? New World Tour (featuring an extended 4 hour set in London)? Redemption have officially been announced as the greatest band on the planet? Any of the above would make my day.

New Kamelot tune with Tommy (live)

From what I can hear in that youtube video, the new song sounds really great. Just what I was hoping for. They have maintained the 'gothic drama' of the last few albums but incorporated some of the melody of earlier albums that made them so great. Seeing them three times this year...

Tommy: Kamelot's videos 'Sacrimony' and 'My Confession' both on page 3)

Congrats to Tommy. Also excellent news for Kamelot (one of my other favorite bands). I was worried after Khan left that they would lose their edge, but recruiting the best singer around at the moment shows they are still at the top of their game. I think this could also be good news for...

Circus Maximus - Nine: My Review

I know a lot of fans were disappointed with the more power sound of Isolate compared to the prog sound of The First Chapter. I like them both in their own way (as I imagine I will grow to like Nine), but of the three Isolate is my favorite. I am also a big Redemption fan and I tend to agree...

Circus Maximus - Nine: My Review

I agree there are lots of catchy melodies, but there are no songs like Wither, for example which has 3 or 4 sections which could be the chorus, because they all have strong melodies. In general, there are many more musically sparse parts whereas previous albums have been characterized by having...

    DVD?

Circus Maximus have songs on two of the ProgPower USA DVDs which may be what you are thinking of. Annoyingly there was no DVD of ProgPower USA XI when Seventh Wonder Played :(
