Well, i am pretty sure TGE is based on the science fiction poem "Aniara" by Harry Martinson. Aniara is about a tragedy on a space ship that was heading to Mars to escape the dying earth, but an accident knocked the ship out if the solar system and out in space. It makes a lot of sense to me. And...
