    Software Recommendations for keys,synths, etc?

I did a little Google research, and am quoting from http://www.gearslutz.com/board/so-much-gear-so-little-time/342561-synthesizer-vs-workstation-vs-arranger.html as I thought it would be helpful information. "A synthesizer is purely a sound generator. That's 'all' it does. It provides you...

    Software Recommendations for keys,synths, etc?

Roland GW-8 Keyboard Workstation---------------$845 Yamaha MM6 Music Synthesizer Workstation------$599 (Prices quoted from musicians friend) One of those two workstations should get you started in the right direction. I'd go with a Roland, MM6 isn't a bad choice though. You can buy rack gear...

    Software Recommendations for keys,synths, etc?

Well, you could buy a keyboard workstation (i.e. Korg, Roland, Yamaha), would be nice to have all 3 :heh:. Good investment for any type of studio. I'd personally save up a little extra $ to buy a decent workstation. Anyways, there is a link below this paragraph to Digidesign's plug-in page...

So ProTools flat out won't open

lol..so true, funny people have a hard time realizing files get corrupted, and nothing fixes it like a fresh installation of an operating system..lol After a couple years of abuse and download, hell even a couple months if you download a bunch of shit from torrents, porn sites, and etc..or...

    Suggestions?

Yeah, it is kind of ridiculous that they limit the track count. However, I doubt I will see the day when I personally use more than 32 tracks in one session. I do find it funny they fail to mention LE only supports 32 tracks in any promotions/sales situation. VST support I personally could care...

    Suggestions?

I like the fact that it has two ADAT inputs. So, this means you can record 24 tracks simultaneous, whereas Digidesign only lets you have 16, 8 Adat and 8 standard with LE. In comparison to the 003+ pres what is your guys thoughts? Would this be a better option than Pro Tools|LE 003+ rack...

BEST PRE FOR GUITARS AND VOCALS

Focusrite, Avalon $2000 or more, I heard samples of a Trident before, they sounded pretty good for $999. What recording setup do you have...? I mic up with just the Mbox2 Pro, its a good setup to record guitars and vocals....and its has two channels.

    what rack multi-fx to get?

Get a Pod XT Pro, if you are not on a budget and like spending money get the G-force, or eventide eclipse. Yes they are worth it.

    Engl owners-question

On the Powerball, do any of you use the F.X. loop? Or, do you guys use TS/OD pedals? I got the Z-5 custom foot switch, accompanied with a NS-2 pedal hooked through ENGL. I got an Ibanez TS9, and a DBX graphic eq for the Peavy 5150, haven't tried any TS/OD pedals on the ENGL. The Peavy is running...

I want a new guitar setup. Advice?

Obviously a particular amp is for a desired sound. Sorry, my intentions were to say the graphic EQ completes the sound, well at least for the most part.

I want a new guitar setup. Advice?

I use the maximizer for a live experience, it tightens up the sound a little bit, nothing to get excited about. The graphic EQ is what makes the sound.

I want a new guitar setup. Advice?

Where are you buying/looking for your music gear..damn..I could buy a Dual Rec for $1500, possibly less..

I want a new guitar setup. Advice?

Get a Mesa Boogie Road King, ENGL Powerball(with a limiter pedal, NS-2) as it hisses a lot, Peavy 5150 (with a graphic EQ, DBX noise suppressor, gate, and a BBE sonic maximizer), Krank Revolution head, and I heard Framus makes a good head(never played one though). You should be good to go with...
