tour with Nocturnal Rites and Edguy

Don't get me wrong, I really like The Eye and it would be on "classic section" if King wouldn't have used a drum machine on that album. It just sounds too sterile and clinical to be enjoyable. The Graveyard is very different from King's previous works but the sounds are pretty muddy and the...

tour with Nocturnal Rites and Edguy

Thanks! I'm a long time fan of King Diamond & Mercyful Fate. Own all King Diamond albums and "classic" Mercyful Fate albums Melissa & Don't Break The Oath. My King Diamond ranking(they're in no order inside the sections...) Classic period: Abigail "Them" Conspiracy Good efforts...

tour with Nocturnal Rites and Edguy

That's great. So it's possible that we will see Tad Morose again in Finland? Next time I'll be in front row and know the songs too!

tour with Nocturnal Rites and Edguy

Well, there weren't so many people at Tampere? The stage was bigger but the people were even more lame at Tampere that they were in Helsinki. But how was the crowd on both shows? Yeah, I'm checking all albums that comes out and almost in all cases buy album at some point. I don't think that...

tour with Nocturnal Rites and Edguy

Hey Urban, Just wanted to thank you for the gigs you made in Finland. I attended the both shows in front row. I have to say that you guys rocked! I hadn't heard anything of you or Nocturnal Rites before those gigs but that didn't bother me at all. I think I would have heard you sooner or...

European tour with Stratovarious = flop for SX

I don't agree with the flop-part. They played two shows here in Finland(Tampere&Helsinki) and the crowd(though much smaller than Strato's) was shouting and banging their heads(at least I did, didn't have time to look around). And I didn't find anything bad in their live-sound. They were...

    Thomas Miller

I believe that his religion doesn't have anything to do with the case that he left SX. When someone says that he'll depart from the band due to personal reasons everybody are drawing the strangest conclusions from that. It IS possible but I don't think so. Think about Neal Morse and Spock's...

    Thomas Miller

Heeheehee!-) One odd thing that I founded is that the official site biography/history -section doesn't even mention Thomas Miller's name. No mention about his participation on their first four albums or that he has even ever played in SX. Check it out. NP: Eternity X - The Edge of Madness

    Thomas Miller

What I've heard is that both Tom Walling and Thomas Miller had no possibility to go touring with the band so they left the band. That "changed religion" sounds a bit odd to me and I think that it's just some funny rumour or something.

    Apocalyptica???

It's not limited edition or anything. It's just extended edition year after the release of original(like Katatonia did with Tonight's Decision). Anyway you can get your copy from here(copied from Apocalyptica.com, duh!-)...

Favorite SyX song(s) to hear live?

I don't own Live on the Edge of Forever but I've seen SX playing once(supporting Stratovarius at Tampere 21.3.2003). Inferno and especially Wicked(she saaaaaaaaaaid!-) sounded great. SX is a good live band for sure. Beated headlining Stratovarius on that night(IMHO).

At this moment, Who is your favorite Drummer??

I did. He's awesome, isn't he? What's your favorite Zonder-era Fates Warning album? I dig Disconnected most(I don't own Parallels). It's understandable that Rullo gets most votes(this is Symphony X board) but I think that most of them don't know even who the hell Mr. Zonder is. Well, it's...

At this moment, Who is your favorite Drummer??

Mark Zonder from Fates Warning! No doubt about it. After him I would place Mike Portnoy or Jason Rullo. Haven't heard so much Joe Nevolo(Shadow Gallery). I only own Shadow Gallery's Tyranny but it's really good album, one of my favourites. Anders Johansson and Casey Grillo are a bit odd...

    Explain what Evergrey sounds like

My description would be characteristic proggish and aggressive power metal. I only own Solitude * Dominance * Tragedy and Recreation Day so my description is partly based on those people's opinions who own the whole catalogue.
