I agree with that. First Opeth album I got was Still Life and it took more than a couple of listens for me to like it. Next was Morningrise, which took about 2 months, now it's one of my favorite albums, truly amazing. Right now I'm Opeth fan because I was patient and gave the band more than one...

LOL, a large tour? 4 cities???? I didn't check that, that's a shitty tour. Agalloch is popular, considering the kind of music they play they're quite well know in the metal communities

w I don't know much about how it works, but IMO putting together a good tour is the label's job

Sure The End has nice prices and everything, but I don't see Agalloch touring a lot. Album - small tour - Album - small tour... can't get enough people to hear your music if the label doesn't want take risks and help the band with quality touring.
