I personally think it's a great album - I love it more than In Absentia. It's unfair to say it's not as good as 'The Sky Moves Sideways' & their earlier work - of course, it's completely different from that. But, yes - definitely worth buying. 8/10.
Agreed - Anathema are one of my all time favourite bands purely for their diversity and the variety in all of their albums. I love their early work and I love their new work all the same.
I got to see Katatonia for the first time on Saturday too - I've been waiting for three years!
Got a hold of a set list too -
Leaders
Wealth
Soil's Song
Deadhouse
Teargas
Deliberation
Ghost of the Sun
My Twin
Criminals
I Am Nothing
Sweet Nurse
Tonight's Music

I only got into them about 2 years ago, it took a little while to get used to Billy's voice, but I like them a lot now. Never got round to buying any of their albums though.. something I'm planning on changing when I next get paid. Umm, CDs.
The bands I listen most to are Anathema, Forest Stream, Forest of Shadows & MDB. I loved Rapture's first album, but their second was a huge disappointment.
Esoteric's new album was worth every penny.
Seeing High on Fire soon hopefully.
He's not bad. I do like The Police though. My art tutor plays some of his stuff in our sessions. I like his vocals, but the album started getting pretty depressing/boring towards the end of it.
Suppose I'm just a tad less narrow-minded than you, "Bas667". ;)
The Carpathian Forest cover of 'A Forest' is really good. I was expecting a really bad cover. Nice suprise.
