    Need Constructive Criticism On Mix!

The snare is the first thing I'd work on. Sounds too roomy for the genre. Guitars are nice and tight and the tone seems right. The kick is a little "clicky" for my taste. I think a more in your face mix would do this justice. Also, the track is clipping pretty bad. But that's just a...

Want your opinions on my mix!

Cymbals are a little brittle to me...but that's just taste.... Great mix!

    TITTIES!

Tell me what you think of this. Trying to get better at mixing metalcore / post hardcore / whatever you wanna call it core. I know the music isnt all that amazing...but it's just a practice track

I've been watching the pics on your Twitter page... Congrats on the new house man!

Rate my sound please (constructive criticism appreciated)

I'd start by lowering the synth some...this will automatically allow the guitar to be more present....and then maybe just bump the gtrs by 1 or 2 dbs to start....see how it sounds. What I meant by adding space was that I use synth tracks deeper in the mix...this adds the "big" sound so the mix...

Rate my sound please (constructive criticism appreciated)

Sounds good! The digital track is a little loud for my taste.....but it's just a taste thing.....I like the guitars more in your face and the tracks adding size/space to the mix. Toms are a little plastic to me.... But great job! Better than a lot of "rate my mix" you hear

Of Mice And Men - The Flood

I'd say it's just his usual Nigel and then automated. Probably some sans-amp on there.....but who knows. I just make 2 identical bass tracks and cut the choruses, verses, breakdowns or any other part I might want a different emphasis on the bass.....use one channel for the 1 or 2dbs...

    Getting work starting out..

They way I got started was just using the contacts I made from being in a band and playing in the area music scene. I'm in the Dallas, TX area. I called up some of the band guys I know and offered to do a demo song for free. I only chose the bands that I knew had a good song and were tight as...

    Smooth distortion tone presence

My guess is a de-esser or it's done in mastering instead of on the individual gtr tracks

    Mix mix mix

Is that just POD with no other plugs other than the POD?

    Joey's POD Farm Chain

I think everyone would agree that the DI box is NOT a cure all for a guitar tone that is lacking. It's kind of like saying that buying the most expensive running shoes is going to make you faster. It may help a tiny little bit, but unless you have exhausted all the other stuff that's more...

    Post Hardcore - POD Farm

I've found that one of the biggest secrets to getting a good pod farm tone is the use of the noise gate. I very rarely use eq on the channel.... I only use the tone controls on the amp itself. I will use a low pass but that's it. Most of the harsh freqs are taken care of in mastering.

Rate my mix ! Detuned Toms & BlackGold cymbals

I dont think the guitars are too dark...I just think they need to come up a little. And use less overall verb on everything you used it on. The mix isnt really "in your face" Maybe put a C4 on the bass with the sneap guitar setting.
