Yes, rumors. Chuck Schuldiner said it best. But I'm glad you talked to Steve in person. He's an amazing drummer, and also a good friend of mine. But he does have an off-night every now and then. I'll find out the true story from him.
In my opinion, the older Haunted albums are killer, but they still can't compare to anything released by At The Gates.

Marlies, that is quite impressive. Even more impressive is the fact that Into Eternity has not compromised any integrity in its songwriting. Tim has been very consistent over the years.
On the topic of lineup changes, has anyone seen the Napalm Death "Family Tree"? It was included with the "Noise For Music's Sake" 2-CD set (Earache Records).
It's pretty amazing how ND has NO original members in the band, and yet they are still going strong after 20+ years.
