Jesus Christ, I really really like this. It's absolutely disgustingly depressing and miserable. I usually don't like this "style" either... For example, Portal never really floated my boat. But this... its just gruesome.

I can't get enough of anything involving Martin Van Drunen. Hell, the Dutch metal scene as a whole is one of my favorites in the entire genre. Pestilence, Asphyx, Thanatos, Hail of Bullets, God Dethroned, etc. It all slays me in the best way possible.

Really tinny guitar tones that sound like plastic. And key changes in pop songs, usually during the last chorus. Example = Living on a Prayer They... they just sound really really gay. Note- Key changes in most other contexts are epic.

When I'm really in the mood to listen to Power Metal/prog metal, I have a very specific desire to hear just that. In other words, I'm more concerned that the bands come across powerful, energetic, and most of all, epic. But not so over-the-top that it becomes a complete parody of itself.So...

I like it. It reminds me of Skeletonwitch. Which is a reallygood thing. And most likely, they were the ones influenced by Goatwhore cause they came after as far as I know.

I'm a big fan of Obscura and The Erosion of Sanity (I'd give the nod to Obscura just because it's so fucking weird, in a somehow catchy way). And I have the Karelian Isthmus and Tales from A Thousand Lakes. It's all great stuff. :worship: Random aside, do you guys like Azarath? To me...
