well i'm annoyed by core kids.. all i can say is try listening to the song i started this thread with if you want. I listened to a few of your symphony x songs.

What is really the definition of metal though? I think no matter what, i'm going to call A7X metal.

No. I'm not implying, i'm just responding. But even if A7X has some radio-friendly songs they're still an amazing guitar band and I would admire anyone who could tackle all of their guitar solos!

I'm pretty sure Pantera and the like are on the radio as we speak. ::grin: but dude the song that i posted IS old A7X. it's older than City of Evil, and definetely doesn't have a pop song structure. I study music too btw. And i'll have to get a lot better at guitar before i start writing Spanish...

True but I mean we're talking about music here man it's all about perception. I'm not going to argue on here though, it would most certainly be a waste of time haha

whoa now. Avenged Sevenfold is NOT metalcore. You don't have to like them but don't say that. they're not mediocre by any means when it comes to guitar.
