Personally, I rip my CDs in flac for my Computer. When I want to put some files on my portable device (Sansa Fuze+), I convert the flac files in ogg vorbis with a software. I think with a iPod, you need to use iTunes to fill the device. I don't know if you can manage like 2 databases with...
