    Nebelnest

Everyone should get Nebelnest's new album Zepto cause it fucking rocks. Modern experimental version of classic dark symphonic rock like Pulsar, King Crimson. One of the best albums so far of 2006 to me. You can listen to some tracks here: http://www.myspace.com/nebelnest Pillars of Birth is...

    Favorite Italian bands...

I haven't heard Wicked Minds, will have to check that out. I second Standarte though, pretty good band. I also like Mindflower (a bit like Genesis or Anthony Phillips solo work), Foglie Di Vetro (reminds me of Banco or PFM) and Sithonia (a bit like Locanda delle Fate and some Genesis).

Good point. I've got Ragnarök's self-titled on vinyl, got it for ~25 $ I think. I have most of Turid Lundqvist's stuff on the computer, and the compilation on CD, which is all my wallet allows for at the moment. The Turid LP:s I've seen have been relatively expensive, at least her first two...

Yeah, i've seen it go pretty cheep. I just think its strange considering its availability, or rather lack thereof.

Levande Livet - Strömmens Pärla Bought this on vinyl for the equivalent of 12 $. Pretty much a steal considering its very good psych/jazz/blues and one of the rarest of the silence releases.

Helena Espvall - Nimis & Arx A little too experimental for my taste, but it has some nice and interesting sounds on it. She's the celloist in Espers btw

Picchio dal Pozzo - s/t has become one of my favourites. I wonder if their newer stuff is any good.

    New Songs "DISCUSSION ONLY" thread

Haven't been following the previous discussion, but does anyone else think Ghost of Perdition could've come straight from Still Life? Especially around 5:00. Kinda hard to hear from the mp3 I have though, which I assume to be a rip from the street team stream, the overall production sounds...

    Evilist sounding opeth song?

People obviously perceive "evilness" differently, but I'd say The Grand Conjuration. I love the evil sounding whispers at around 7:30+ with the "middle eastern" rythm. Maybe also the long interlude in Under The Weeping Moon ~3:20-6:00.

    rare prog from early 70s

I hate to sound like a troll but as much as Dungen's music rocks the lyrics are just too damn lame to endure. Normally I don't care that much about lyrics, but I almost wish I didn't know swedish when I listen to them. In my opinion he's trying too hard to make the lyrics sound "proggy", as it were.

    Farewell/Adios etc. etc.

I don't post here much but from what i've read of moonlapse's posts they've been insightful something that can't be said of most posts on here. I also liked your moderator-ship cause it was "in tune" with the community and not some dictatorship. Also, IF this whole mess is because of the webrip...
