I wasn't such a big fan of In My Darkest Hour, Run With the Devil and Swan Song on the first few listens, but all three songs have grown on me. That said, I can't not hear the attempt to rhyme "a thing" with "anything" in Swan Song...

Damn right, Charon is awesome. Total V vibe from that one! Really enjoying Kiss of Fire, Legend and To Hell and Back as well. I've listened through 7 times so far, and my preliminary opinion is that Underworld is their second best album (after V).

From the samples, it sounds a bit Iconoclast-y but with more varied songwriting. As someone who actually liked Iconoclast apart from the fact that they ran out of ideas 3-4 songs into the album, it seems promising.

Ha ha, I listened to some Space Odyssey. Great stuff. The singer occasionally sounds (appropriately) like an angry opera singing movie monster from outer space :grin:

Haken? Having listened to Without You a dozen more times, I'm a bit disappointed, because the non-chorus parts have grown on me but the chorus is still bad (not actually bad, but "meh" bad). Wasted opportunity, really. Still, leaves hope for the rest of the album.

"Without You" is now on Spotify. I like the acoustic parts, but the chorus is fairly generic metal :/

This is exactly what you would expect from the #2 track on the album. It's a perfectly decent song, not their best, not their worst. Compared to the similar track on their previous albums, it holds up well (better than Wicked, at least as good as Set the World on Fire, but not quite on par with...

Yeah no reason to believe "Adam's friend from college". Though, the album may well be close to finished by now, so it's not at all impossible that someone actually saw the track listing and passed it on to a friend's friend... If genuine, that track listing at least to me hints at a spiritual...

I'd buy that album...
