Which guitar cab mic should I get?

I really dig an MD421 track with a 57 on my guitar cabs. Try dialing less gain and high end on your amp to get rid of fizz, when double tracking. My tone knob is around 10-12 o'clock on most of my amps with a TS. Also, move that fucker away from center of the cone in small increments and...

"Sleeper" Analog consoles - Consoles that are untraditional and low cost

Fuck Yes. The new SSL stuff is so quality. The Matrix with an X-Rack is a great production centerpiece.

"Sleeper" Analog consoles - Consoles that are untraditional and low cost

I use the Midas Venice for live sound reinforcement. They have GREAT preamps. I haven't tried the new versions, but the older models sound excellent.

Esp mII Urban Camo (dont you love standard series?)

I just bought the ONE left handed black M-II that ESP makes every year. I got it a couple weeks ago. Best guitar I have ever played!

    Converters or Room Treatment?

Room treatment is on a different level than conveters, as a necessity. You can get it done fairly cheap with a trip to Home Depot, and some light construction skills. I think it is key that you're actually hearing the frequencies you're manipulating, rather than mixing the room.

Which amp would you couple with a 5150 in a 2-amp rig?

Engl Invader! (Had to mess with you Lasse) haha I love this amp, and I gave it kind of a bad rap a while back when it first arrived, but it has grown to be my #1. The Roland Jazz Chorus is a great, classic clean amp. VOX AC30, any Fender amp I've played (Princeton, London).

    VHT 112 ported cab

I have the VHT cab with a vintage 30 in it, and open back. I use it ALL the time. I've played shows with my 5150 head into it, and it cuts right through. It's real fuckin' handy to have around, and it sounds pretty fuckin' good. It aint a 4x12, but it's loud enough. Mine's 8 ohms and rated...

Gibson Les Paul 2012 thread [Models, Pickups, Pictures...]

My new #1! I just got it, so this is the only pic I have so far. It truly is the Holy Grail of tone for me. I slapped an EMG 81&85 in it immediately. It kills my back at 9 and some pounds, but this guitar is worth it. I play in an AIC cover band, so this guitar is perfect tuned to Eb. I...

    Slate Trigger vs. SSD 4.0

Slate, you should drop in on the AES convention in St. Louis this weekend. I only dropped about $330 on Trigger Platinum and SSD 4.0 Platinum. Worth every penny. Both have definately improved my writing and mixes. I need a Slate T-shirt now. haha
