I had a feeling someone would but I tried searching but I can't really find much, I thought I'd take all the ripping and just ask, but I mean I saw something about recording at -18dbs or something but I have no idea really what that is, does that mean set all levels so they record at -18?

How do you guys go about it, I really don't know how to approach it. So what I'm asking is how do you guys set your levels, whats too quiet for stuff or whats to loud? Is there anything else I should do or know? So if you have any tips to help or any links please share.

I am a noobie to recording and I don't have fancy drum replacement programs or samples, so i was wondering if you had any eq tips on how to record some drums for this genre or any tips in general for the mix before I start?

Could you add a limiter on the master bus to keep it from reaching red or should you avoid doing that and and just lower all the channels so it doesn't clip and keep the master bus empty for mastering?

I recently bought aptrigga and I'm trying to make this snare sound good using the joey sturgis 1 snare and it sounds fake, i think it's because it can only do the same velocity, I was wondering if there were hints or tips on how to adjust settings on it to make it sound real
