Recently recorded these boys for their debut EP and since then their band has come to a halt due to commitment issues and they are seeking a Drummer and Bass Player. They are The Reckoning and you can check um out here www.myspace.com/thereckoningband They are looking for musicians with a...

    Melodic Punk-Rock (real stuff almost)

Fair enough man I understand the constraints and I know it doesnt need to be as upfront just to me it seems a little lost even if it is supposed to be back in the mix slightly

    Melodic Punk-Rock (real stuff almost)

Ill agree with Allan on this one. Bass is Killer and most of the drums too. Wheres the kick? Its either being masked by the other stuff or its too far down IMO. You might want to consider re-amping those guitars and using a combination of real and POD guitars as that will take away the well...

MELODIC HARDCORE( the ghost inside, A day to remember, For the fallen Dreams. (ish)

F*kin love it now man! I would still do it on the scream one, the T's and S's in it are now the only thing bugging me. Wouldnt mind a copy of this to have a go at myself if they wouldnt mind. Doesnt hurt to practise hehe.

Good job on the new mix dude. Ill agree with the vocals needs a bit of de-essing but aside from that Im digging it. What did you use on the drums?

no samples, replacement, editing and doesnt afraid of anything - progressive death

Finally got to listen to it. Been a mad couple of days. OK, for me (I think its already been said) the kick is way to high and is distracting alot from the awesomeness of the rest of it. The Snare gets lost in a few places so try and bring the kick back and up the snare. Maybe add a little...

Cant seem to get it to play back :( but thank god! someone doing things properly. I love the open and natural sound of well made records that are real. Theres an art and finesse to it which I feel is being lost in todays "bedroom studio" world. Credit to you my man! \m/ \m/

    Metalcore Mix for your opinions

OK well must say everything is real on that record. Amps were Orange Rockerverb 50 and a Pevey Valveking with Cleans going through a Fender Pro reverb. All miced with a 57 and 414 on Greenbacks. Same goes with the Drumkit all real and miced. That and I had 3 days to get it all done lol. I...

    Bury The Hatchet

Thanks for the feedback man. Ive tried hard panning stuff before and it always sounds to me like Mono deluxe just wide for the sake of it but I see your point. There were three overheads and I panned those hard LR and had one Centre (2x 414 and one Shure SM81). Guitars are quite centeral by...
