    how you got into metal

    I had a copy of Appetite for Destruction given to me in 4th grade or so (1989) not that it's metal but it's still hard rock. My taste gradually got heavier as the years went on, thanks to Metallica, Testament, Megadeth, etc.

    Just incase anyone was curious - Most listened to metal bands for each sub-genre

    I think I'm the only "metalhead" I know in real life that even knows about sub-genres. I hate having to explain to the general public that BM doesn't mean "bowel movement" (well maybe Dimmu is the exception) and there are actually pre-Cowboys Pantera albums.
